You have probably heard about Tapas and Pinchos. A peculiar ways of eating that we have in Spain.
The Tapa is a plate that is normally shared between the diners and the Pincho is a food composition on top of a slice of bread, usually accompanied of a glass of Chacolí (a typical Basque wine).
The Tapas tradition was born in the eighteenth century with the idea of accompanying glasses of wine with a small plate with food. The Pinchos were the Basque Country variant of this idea.
In Barcelona there are many new shops where you can eat it. That’s why I would like to take you to the most emblematic ones of the city. Some of them are almost a hundred years old and have been visited by celebrities.
On foot, we will visit 3 shops. At the same time that we will stroll through the streets, we will seize this opportunity to see the old Barcelona and learn about its history and anecdotes.
To complete this funny tour I recommend ending the day seeing a Flamenco show. Or we can swap this activity for something totally different visiting the Picasso museum, which is in the Old Town as well.
