Strolling through the Old Town is to taste 2000 years of history.
We will visit the Ramblas, the most famous avenue in Barcelona; the Boqueria food Market, the most visited in the city; the Liceo Opera House, a great example of the magnificence of the bourgeoisie; the Catalane gothic Pi Church; the old Jewish Quarter, the Sant Felip Neri Square and the imprint that was left upon it by the Spanish Civil War; the interior of the Cathedral; the Royal Palace; the City Council and the Government Palace; the Roman Temple ruins (1st century BC) and if time permits, the gothic church Santa Maria del Mar so-called the Cathedral of the sea.
We will also make a few other stops to see other exceptional places of the city that I will keep as a surprise for you.
Halfway through the tour I suggest we make a stop to rest. To me, one of the best options is to go to one of the historic hot chocolate stores to taste the “Suizo”: hot chocolate with cream and churros.
