The Must-See Places (2x4h)

First time in Barcelona and you don’t want to miss anything. To split the tour in two days is the best; if it is not possible, let’s do it in a row stopping for lunch in a typical tapas restaurant.
Let’s make two blocks (4 hours each)
• OLD TOWN: a walk to taste 2000 years of history. Let’s discover the Gothic Quarter, La Rambla, Food Market, Cathedral, Roman Temple, etc. A little break is always essential to taste a “Suïs” a delicious hot chocolate with cream and churros in a historic place.
• NEW TOWN: includes the fancy Passeig de Gràcia with the most impressive bourgeoise houses such as Casa Batlló and la Pedrera; and of course, Gaudi’s masterpieces: Sagrada Familia and Park Güell.

If you choose the chauffeured vehicle per 4 hours option, then add to the listed places a panoramic tour where you will admire the views of Barcelona from the Montjuïc Hill, you will see the Olympic facilities and we will pass by the Arch of Triumph gateway of the Art Nouveau Architecture in Barcelona. If time permits let’s see the seafront.

– Sant Felip Neri Square: the imprint that was left upon it by the Spanish Civil War.

– Augustus Roman Temple (1c BC)

NEW TOWN:
– Passeig de Gràcia: Casa Batlló; Casa Amatller; Casa Lleó i Morera.
– Sagrada Familia (inside, towers not included. Please let me know If you want to visit them)
– Park Güell (inside)

Notes / restrictions

AVAILABILITY: It’s not possible to visit the Cathedral on Saturdays after 5p.m. and on Sundays only from 2p.m. to 5p.m. The Boqueria Market is closed on Sundays and on Mondays many of the stands are closed.
DRESS CODE: to enter the Cathedral shoulders must be covered and shorts must cover the knees (a scarf to cover your shoulders is enough).
DISABILITY: all the places of this tour are wheelchair-accessible.

Transportation Method

Walking tour through the Old Town; New City by taxi or chauffeured Mercedes.
Note: taxis are perfect and less expensive, but to get the most out of our tour, a vehicle per 4 hours would help on it.

Meet up location / End location

MEET UP: I suggest starting the tour at the Boqueria food Market, but I can pick you up at your hotel/apartment/cruise Ship or wherever we agree as long as it is in Barcelona.
DROP OFF: wherever you want. I can suggest some restaurants or some places to visit on your own.

AIRPORT: If you want to start or finish this tour at the airport, it is necessary to choose the vehicle option and the tour will last 7.30h

Tour Extensions

If you choose the two tours in two different days, extend one day one hour to visit the inside of one of the houses of Gaudí (I recommend la Pedrera); and/or extend the other day one hour to visit the Picasso Museum – Cost of the extra hour: €73
If you have a 3^rd day in Barcelona, although that there are other interesting places in town to be visited, I would suggest a tour out of town, maybe the Montserrat Tour.

Barcelona Highlights (4h)

If you have little time, or if you need to get an idea of how the city of Barcelona works, this is your tour! In these four hours we will mainly get to know the places that I think someone needs to visit to cross out Barcelona from his bucket list. These are the places that will remain in your hearts.
–       The inside of la Sagrada Familia, Gaudí‘s masterpiece and landmark of Barcelona.
–       A walk through Passeig de Gràcia, the most elegant avenue in Barcelona, where the bourgeoise built impressive houses such as the Casa Batlló.
–       the Gothic Quarter: a walk through the History; from Romans to Medieval ages.

If you prefer to do the tour with a chauffeured car, then we can add to the above listed places: a panoramic view of the city passing by the Arch of Triumph, the gateway to Art Nouveau in Barcelona; and the Montjuïc Hill, to see the Olympic Stadium and where we will enjoy excellent views of the city.
